Pine Tree ISD CEER teachers share how a CEER class is different from a regular classroom. This project-based learning pathway is in its third year of implementation serving students in grades 1-8. The Pine Tree Parkway robotics team competed at the Region VII robotics competition on Friday, March 31st. Wyatt Scaggs and his teammate Ryan Vaughn won first place in the arena awards. Benny Alvarado and his teammate Sadie Sage won second place. They competed against more than 80 other teams made up of 4th through 8th graders. The Pine Tree High School Junior Varsity Winter Guard competed at Marcus High School in Flower Mound for the 2023 NTCA State Championship. Their show, "Happily Ever After", received 8th Place with a score of 71.15, their highest score of the season. Throughout this season, they were promoted up one classification of skill sets from Novice to Regional AA.

Pine Tree High School seniors Natalie Hunt and Robert Roth have been selected scholarship recipients of the Kilgore College New Talent competition.
Hunt earned a 2nd place scholarship in sculpture with Roth earning a 3rd place scholarship in graphic design.
Out of 152 submissions from 15 area high schools, Natalie and Robert had two works each selected for the art show. Congratulations, Pirates!
