Thank you to our community, parents, students and our Pirate family for helping fund our Pirate Santa program by either purchasing a PT Christmas shirt, a monetary donation or adopting a family. Each year our Health Science students help wrap the gifts, organize and hand out the gifts to our families. This year we donated almost 1000 wrapped gifts for 76 families. Thank you to your Culinary Arts department for donating cookie decorating kits.

At the December 11th PTISD board meeting, our pledges were led by students from Birch Elementary. PTISD employees Chandra Watson, Jamie Hudman and Elisha Rivera were recognized with the Above and Beyond award and Joey Lawrence with AEP/SWEPCO was honored with the Most Valuable Pirate (MVP) award for their outstanding contributions to PTISD.
PTISD received the TAEA District of Distinction award for the second year in a row. and recognition was given to those employees.

At the December 11th PTISD board meeting, our Special Athletes were honored. Each of these students received a letter jacket for their participation in Special Olympics. We are proud of you! #pirateproud2023
The Pine Tree High School Interpretation, Speech & Debate team traveled to Chapel Hill Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, December 9, 2023 to compete in the Chapel Hill TFA Christmas Classic with 10 schools and 139 entries spread over 12 events. Traditional Interpretation, Speech & Debate powerhouses competed in the tournament including Lindale, Princeton, Tyler All Saints and Athens.
As a result, Pine Tree captured the overall team sweepstakes. Pine Tree earned event champion in 7 of the 12 events.
Additionally, Sophomore Parker Dalton joins fellow team member Junior Aiden McQueary in qualifying for the TFA State tournament.
Up next: UIL State Congressional Debate Championship January 10-11, 2024 and Pine Tree Jar of Dirt Tournament January 12-13, 2024.

Now that we are in the postseason, the UIL requires us to broadcast through the NFHS Network. It will still be M6 Drones and the normal crew, but unfortunately you will have to pay a fee. If you do, select Pine Tree as your school and we will get a percentage of the money.

General Parking:
*There are several General Parking sections throughout Lovejoy High School
-The front of Lovejoy High School is also General Parking
-The rear of Lovejoy High School has several areas reserved for General Parking.
-These spots are not coned or taped off.
-These spaces are first come, first serve.
*Do Not Park in the Red Painted Fire Lanes. Violators will be towed.
Handicap Parking:
*Lovejoy has several permanent handicap parking spaces along with temporary Handicap parking that are designated with a blue cone.
Shuttle/Overflow Parking:
*When Lovejoy High School General Parking lots become full, all patrons will drive to one of our three Off-Site Shuttle Locations
*Shuttle Service will begin at 6:00 pm
*The Shuttle Service runs throughout the entire football game until all patrons are returned to their vehicle.
*Lovejoy High School has limited Stadium Parking and we encourage our FOOTBALL patrons in using the Shuttle Service for all Varsity Home contests.
*Spectators will be dropped in front of the main ticket booth on the south side of the stadium.
