Pine Tree ISD Hosts Financial Family Fun Night for National Financial Literacy Month
Longview, TX — Pine Tree ISD will host Financial Family Fun Night on Tuesday, April 1st at Pine Tree Middle School to kick off National Financial Literacy Month. This event is geared specifically toward middle school students and their families and is a key initiative to raise awareness about financial wellness and provide valuable resources to our community.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Susan Doty, Executive Director of the UT Tyler Center for Economic Education and Financial Literacy, attendees will enjoy a free dinner, door prizes, and engaging activities at no cost.
"There are currently six bills in the Texas Legislature to make financial literacy a graduation requirement, a cause I am deeply passionate about as an educator," said Jennifer Mitchell, Pine Tree Middle School 6th Grade Math and CEER Teacher "This event not only supports that mission but is also designed to spark meaningful conversations between families about personal financial literacy and responsible money habits."
