This past weekend, the Color Guard teams (Varsity & Junior Varsity) competed in the Winter Guard International Texas Regional Qualifier at Coppell High School. Both teams performed well and had competitive success!
Junior Varsity: For the first time in school history, our JV team made Finals at a National qualifying event. They outscored: Desoto HS, Northwest Rankin HS JV (Mississippi), Mount Pleasant HS JV, and Coppell HS JV
Varsity: Though they did not make finals, they advanced to the Southwestern United States Power Regional on March 16th & 17th at UNT where we will compete against groups as far reaching as Colorado. They outscored: Aledo HS, Allen HS, Anna HS, Bryan HS, Denton Guyer HS, Frisco Independence HS, Frisco Lone Star HS, Frisco Panther Creek HS, Forney HS, Fort Worth Boswell HS, Highland Park HS, Lake Highlands HS, Mansfield HS, Marshall HS, Mount Pleasant HS, Northwest Eaton HS, Northwest Rankin HS (Mississippi), Plano East HS, Prosper HS, Prosper Walnut Grove HS, Red Oak HS, Richardson Pearce HS, and Round Rock HS.
The Color Guards will compete in their district home show this Saturday, February 24th at 11:30 a.m. in the Pirate Center on the Pine Tree High School campus.
