At the April 8 board meeting, our PTHS Cheer Team led the pledges. Above and Beyond awards were presented to Jodi McQueary and Brandina Ednie for outstanding service to PTISD.
Our Teachers of the Year were also honored and recognized. Teachers of the Year are: Primary - Jasmine Coleman and District Elementary Teacher of the Year; Birch Elementary, Bonnie Smith; Parkway Elementary. Misti Scaggs; Middle, Caleb Epnett; Junior High, Dasia Williams; High School and District Secondary Teacher of the Year, Terri Davis and PACE, Dana Taylor.

Tomorrow is the Solar Eclipse!
Please send a towel for your child to sit on. It is suggest to wear red or green to be able to see how the colors change.
Please come and join us! We have over 300 glasses to share with our guests. We need help with our students to help them safely enjoy the experience.
We will also have activities as well to help kids look at the shadows the sun and moon are making so that students are looking up at the sky the whole time. Weather permitting this should be an amazing experience for you and our students!
To check out your child afterwards, bring bring your car tag!


We had 97% attendance today! Help us celebrate great attendance and a great Assistant Principal by wearing pajamas and bringing a small stuffed friend who can fit in your backpack!

Join us at the Science Lab for some Spring Life Science Fun!
Future Pirates Club events are for children who have already turned 4 or 5 years old or will be 4 years old by September 1, 2024 but are not yet in school full time. This program is not designed for 2 and 3 year olds. If you have a baby who is still in a stroller, they are welcome to tag along if needed.
Please arrive between 9:45 and 10:00AM to get your badges. At 10:00AM, Mrs. Rodrigues, our science teacher, will pick you and your future pirates up to go to the science lab.
