Summer School information is below:

Ladies and Gentlemen,
After watching the weather we have decided that the threat of lightning has forced us to move graduation to the Pirate Center. Doors will open to guests at 7:45 and the ceremony will begin at 8:30. Remember you must have a ticket to enter the gymnasium. We will live stream the event to the Theatre at the High School for those without a ticket.

On the weekend of May 5th, Keaton Duncan competed for the Texas State Championship for Tetris at the Arlington E-Sports Stadium as well as their Tetris Open Tournament. This tournament was held by the UIL sponsor, Vanta. He obtained first place in both competitions and was awarded both a State Championship trophy and Tetris merchandise. He will continue his education at Kilgore College and also compete in ESports there.

"Everyday at Pine Tree ISD, we're teaching kids how to think, not what to think. We’re teaching kids how to rise to expectations not make excuses on why they can't. We’re teaching kids how to make good choices and good decisions so they don't have to endure a lifetime of pain for making poor decisions. We’re teaching kids you've got to put in whatever amount of work it takes to get the job done because you can't sit around and wait for someone else to do it. Basically, we are teaching kids how to be successful adults.” Steve Clugston, Pine Tree ISD Superintendent https://youtu.be/iNS3mLjsaJ8?si=pjwHkN1XvQJa-5Qc

The Pine Tree High School UIL state qualifiers competed in the state meet May 13-15. Students qualify to the state meet by first advancing from district to region as the top team or the top three individuals and then advancing from region to state as the same. Pine Tree students advancing include Aiden McQueary in Persuasive Speaking, Travis Johnson (6th place overall in the state in 5A) in Literary Criticism, and Damil Arogo, Stefany Paz, Stephanie Viramontes, and Katherine Castillo (4th place team overall in the state in 5A) in Spelling and Vocabulary. In addition, students Jennifer Chen and Cread Ray were first alternates in Feature Writing and Physics respectively.
State qualifiers are eligible to apply for a Texas Interscholastic League Foundation (TILF) Scholarship. Pine Tree UIL students have been awarded over $19,000 in TILF scholarships over the last four years.
