It’s been an exciting time for our Pine Tree e-Sports team! This past Sunday, our Pine Tree Port Valorant Team competed on the main stage at a state level tournament in Arlington. While they came up short, the experience was incredible, and they showed impressive skill and composure against some tough competition. Team members included: Leyton Nguyen, Alisha Prasad, Adan Yoeung, Kai Nguyen, and Cason Stafford.
Our Pine Tree Starboard Valorant Team team traveled to Baylor University to compete in the Texas Scholastic Esports Federation (TSEF) State Championship. Our Pine Tree Starboard Valorant Team made it all the way to the semifinals before being eliminated. Team members included: Israel Brisenos, Dylan Le, Brayden Andrews, Jonathan Roberts, Leyton Nguyen, Will Jordan, and Timmy Nguyen.
We also want to give a shoutout to Alexis Flores-Arevalo, who represented Pine Tree in the Super Smash Brothers Solo Tournament at Baylor!
Pine Tree ISD will delay school release by 15 minutes due to the weather to ensure a smooth and safe dismissal for all students. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Please plan accordingly, and thank you for your continued support of Pine Tree ISD.

Senior Sunset is Monday, April 28th, from 6:30 to 8:15 pm at Pirate Stadium. Come enjoy time with your senior class. Snow cones will be available for purchase. A class picture will be taken at sunset.

The Pine Tree HS UIL Academics team recently captured the District 16-4A title. Students earned 60 individual medals, 16 first place individual medals, and 10 team first places. In addition, a record-setting 35 students qualified for 52 regional placements. Both the Speech and Debate team and the Journalism team were the overall winners. Pine Tree finished the competition with 734 points compared to the 2nd place school, which had 278 points. The last time Pine Tree HS won the district title was 18 years ago. Go Pirates!

On Friday, April 4th members of the PTHS Varsity Women's choir, Chorale, under the direction of Danielle Warren, competed at the James Brewer Memorial UIL Invitational and received straight ones from every judge resulting in a sweepstakes trophy!
