Pine Tree juniors Stephanie Viramontes and Jose Aranda have been selected for the prestigious QuestBridge College Prep Scholars Program. Jose and Stephanie were among 3,518 honorees selected from a pool of more than 15,000 nationwide candidates based on their academic excellence and personal qualities. Being accepted into the QuestBridge program as a junior increases a student's chances of matching with a college as a senior. The program also provides free access to full scholarships to a college summer program hosted by Yale, Emory, UChicago, and others, personalized college essay feedback, college campus visits, and specialized guidance and resources for the college application process. Sophomores are encouraged to ask Pine Tree High School's College and Career Readiness Counselor, Mrs. Heather Hernandez, for more information if they are interested in applying as a junior. Congratulations, Stephanie and Jose!
