Our advanced graphic design students are working on projects for class and for the CTE department this week. Students are trained on a variety of Adobe software programs, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. #PineTreeCTE
🩺 Our health science students have been getting into the Halloween spirit and diving into the world of wound care! Ms. Ellis' classes recently got creative and created some realistic wounds using common household supplies!

Our auto basics students are revving up their knowledge in the automotive lab this week! Students learned about the multiple uses of compressed air in the auto industry. From powering tools to inflating tires, they're gaining valuable hands-on experience. #PineTreeCTE
Our SkillsUSA team met today to discuss the upcoming competition season. SkillsUSA is a national organization designed to challenge students and sharpen their leadership and technical skills. SkillsUSA provides an avenue for students to compete in several career clusters, like computer programming, construction, automotive repair, culinary, digital media, STEM, and more!

Our Anatomy and Physiology classes are using their new Anatomage tables this week to identify body cavities, planes and sections using anatomical directional terms. A&P counts as a science credit course at PTHS. It's perfect for students interested in the healthcare field or life science in general!

Pine Tree Health Science students toured LeTourneau University's new School of Nursing labs today. Students participated in a tour with several opportunities for some hands-on practice on training equipment. The future is bright for these aspiring healthcare professionals!

Our Junior High Project Success class discussed goal setting today and set individual SMART Goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound!) Project Success is a CTE class that highlights the 7 habits of highly effective teens while students research careers!
#PineTreeCTE Welding students are currently reviewing safety standards in the shop and learning the proper use of tools and equipment. The PTHS Welding Program prepares students for the American Welding Society D1.1 Structural Steel and D9.1 Sheet Metal Welding certifications.
PTHS Fire Academy students met with members of the Longview Fire Department today and started working on drills! The Fire Academy classes are offered at the high school in partnership with the Kilgore College Fire Academy. #PineTreeCTE
