Pirate Alternative to Continuing Education

Pine Tree Independent School District's Disciplinary Alternative Education Program

School Hours: Grades 7-12: Start Time - 7:30 a.m.     Release Time - 3:00 p.m.

Grades 6 and Below:  Start Time - 8:00 a.m.    Release Time - 3:15 p.m.

The intentional focus of the Pine Tree P.A.C.E. Campus is to provide a nurturing

and safe environment while building holistically “S.T.R.O.N.G.” students. 

Student progress in academics and self-discipline are the intended

outcomes of this campus as we continue to set the P.A.C.E..

  • In accordance with Education Code 37.105, the District has the right to refuse entry to or eject a person from property under the District’s control if the person refuses to leave peaceably upon request and: 1. The individual poses a substantial risk of harm to any person; or 2. The individual continues to behave in a manner inappropriate for the school setting after having received a verbal or written warning to cease the inappropriate behavior. A person ejected from or refused entry to District property under this provision may appeal this action by filing an appeal under FNG (LOCAL) or GF (LOCAL) and shall be permitted to address the Board in person within 90 days of the commencement of the appeal if the grievance is not resolved at a previous level Texas Education Code 27.105 (B), (g) & (h) State, (g) A school district shall post on the district’s Internet website and each district campus shall post on any Internet website of the campus a notice regarding the provisions of this section, including the appeal process established under Subsection (h) (h) The commissioner shall adopt rules to implement this section, including rules establishing a process for a person to appeal to the board of trustees of the school district the decision under Subsection (a) to refuse the person’s entry to or eject the person form the district’s property.
