Parents we want to thank each of you for being so patient and cooperative as we continue to implement safety measures on our campus. Please be reminded of the following:


  • At this time, all PTISD campuses are closed campus due to our district Covid-19 protocols, which means no visitors.

    Bring your photo identification! We will ask to see your identification if you are picking up your child for any reason. Seeing your identification will verify your identity, allowing us to release your child safely into your care.


  • Due to our district Covid-19 protocols, we are not allowed to have visitors on campus for lunch at this time.



    Birthdays & Celebrations

    At this time, there is also no outside food or drink permitted on campus to help diminish the spread of the Corona Virus.

  • We want to thank everyone for helping us with smooth traffic flow in the morning and afternoon.

    We ask that you continue to refrain from walking your child across the street during the morning drop off time and from picking them up at the front door during afternoon pick up time.

    This has allowed our circle drive traffic to keep moving! If your child is a car rider in the afternoon, make certain you have a car tag. This tag will have your child's teacher's name and assigned number. If you do not have this car tag, you will be asked to come in and show proper identification before picking up your child.

    Afternoon changes to transportation will not be made after 2:30 p.m.


  • If your child rides the bus in the afternoon an adult  must be visible in order for the driver to let the child off.  If no adult is visible at the stop, the child will be returned to the Central Administration building where a parent or guardian will be called to pick the child up.  


  • Continue to check your child’s backpack and/or folder daily. There are a lot of fun things happening here at Birch Elementary and notes are sent home when needed to keep you informed! Please put your child's name on backpacks, lunch kits and in jackets, sweaters, etc., by doing so we will be able to return any lost items.


Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher, Mrs. Smith (Principal) or Mr. Stuard (Assistant Principal) at 903-295-5120 if you have any questions or concerns. We will be glad to help! We are happy to have your child here at Birch Elementary. We hope their years here with us are the best!!
