ABOUT YOUR STATEMENT
Tax statements are mailed at the beginning of October. If you have an escrow with your lender, the lender should request the tax statement for payment. All other statements are sent to the property owner. If you would like a copy of your tax statement, you may print one off of this website https://www.texaspayments.com/092904. You may also call our office and we can mail, email, or fax a tax statement to you. If you receive a tax statement and you have an escrow with your lender, please contact your lender directly.
The tax statement covers taxes from January 1 through December 31. Payment is due to the PTISD Tax Office no later than January 31. A postmark of January 31 is acceptable with a post office cancellation mark of a date earlier than or on the specified due date. Payments postmarked February 1 and later will be assessed penalty and interest.
If mailing a payment and in doubt about the deadline, it is strongly recommended that the US Post Office hand stamp the date on the envelope to insure a January 31st postmark. The same rules apply for the end of each month thereafter.
