    •  Go to www.ptisd.org
    •  Find the "Employment" Tab at Top
    •  Click here to apply online
    •  Click to view "current job openings"
    •  Check "Substitutes" Tab (in middle box)
    •  Search for posted positions
    •  Apply for selected position (on right side)
    •  Create a user profile and continue

     

    ONCE YOUR APPLICATION IS FULLY COMPLETED including references questionnaire and received at the Central Office the process is as follows:
    1.  Applicant must meet all necessary requirements. 
    2.  HR will conduct a background check.
    3.  FAST PASS is issued for fingerprinting and REQUIRED for all district employees (applicant will receive email with instructions and will be responsible for all fees).
    4.  After fingerprints are completed and processed, PTISD will be notified.
    5.  You will receive an email giving you the date and time for a mandatory Substitute Orientation Training.

    6.  At Orientation, you will need to bring your substitute packet completed along with a copy of your High School Diploma or GED, Driver’s License and Social Security card. We will also take your picture for your official badge at that time.
  • Substitute School Nurse 

    Thank you for your interest in being a Substitute School Nurse.  You must meet certain requirements for this position.

    • Current license or certification with the Texas Board of Nursing or Texas Department of Health Services...such as RN, LVN, CNA, or EMT
    • Current BLS and CPR certifications
    • Must be able to read and administer medication as directed
    • Knowledge of first aid

     

    Once your application is fully completed including references questionnaire and received at the Central Office the process is as follows:

    1. Applicant must meet all necessary requirements.
    2. License and Certifications will be verified.
    3. HR will conduct a background check.
    4. FAST PASS is issued for fingerprinting and is REQUIRED for all district employees. (Applicant will receive an email with instructions and will be responsible for all fees.)
    5. After fingerprints are completed and processed, PTISD will be notified.
    6. You will receive an email asking for you to set up a time to come to Central Administration to meet with me. At that time, you will need to bring your substitute nurse packet completed along with a copy of your High School Diploma or GED, Driver’s License, Social Security card, Licenses and/or Certifications. You will also complete any additional paperwork, and we will take your picture for your official badge at that time.
    7. I will then refer all of your information to the Head School Nurse, and she will be in contact with you personally when you are needed.
    8. If you are interested in becoming a teacher substitute, you must attend Substitute Orientation.
